Our Curriculum
At Trehaus Preschool, your little one is will be actively engaged in the learning process helping to hone their learning skills.
Our classes are conducted in small groups of a 1:5 teacher ratio, allowing teachers to notice and address every child’s questions and offer tailored assistance more effectively in order to help them succeed. Little ones are able to reflect on challenges and work together to resolve them. This allows them to gain a true understanding of working as a team to problem-solve together, especially during critical-thinking tasks.
We focus on fostering a deep love of learning in our children by encouraging them to ask questions and spark a curiosity that will lead to an enquiry exploration. Our teachers guide lessons and activities whilst allowing the children to plan and carry out investigations, propose explanations and solutions, and communicate their understanding of the concepts in class.
How We Build A Love For Learning
Curriculum Framework
We aim to nurture all aspects of your child during their preschool journey with our leading research-based curriculum.
Little Projects
Our Proprietary Little Projects comprises 6 future and soft skills, alongside with a vigorous bilingual core fundamental programme (reading, writing, numeracy, fine and gross motor skills, life skills).
We focus on your children’s self-discovery journey as much as their outcome. What we offer, is a holistic education that incorporates the best elements of research-based pedagogies to create a child-led, play-based curriculum adapted to meet the needs of each individual child.
-
Become the most admired CEO of tomorrow. Your child’s problem-solving and leadership skills will be unlocked. Your child will practise empathy and cooperation as they lead their team through a project. They will hone their decision-making skills as they gather opinions from their classmates. They will become confident public speakers as they host and lead their dream event.
-
Become tomorrow’s changemaker by being the first to see a problem, find the right solution, create a game-changing idea, and bring it to market. Your child will pitch their idea, tell the story of the problem it solves and mobilise their classmates to bring the idea to life by delegating individual tasks with action lists, instilling and encouraging creativity.
-
Become a cultural tastemaker. Expose your child to the art and science behind the disciplines of culinary and hospitality through real-life hands-on experiences. Your child will prepare and serve nutritional meals after gardening and farming from their urban farm, learn to service a table with joy and humility, understand good nutrition and its values, and develop healthy habits.
-
Become a creative artist, musician, dancer or producer. Ignite your child’s innate imaginative spirit and creative spark, through embracing and experiencing music, movement, communications and the arts. With partnerships with art museums, your child will learn to love the arts. As little producers, they will produce songs, music videos, and even perform their own creations. In movement, they will express themselves via different mediums. Your child will unlock their inner creative, sonically, visually, verbally, and tactilely.
-
Become a resourceful and experimental engineer. Unlock your child’s inventive spirit as they learn to tinker by deconstructing and rebuilding objects in our Little Makers studio; learning basics of coding, creating apps and exploring the field of robotics to design products.
-
Become a thoughtful, compassionate and selfless philanthropist. Beyond “What will I be when I grow up?”, help your child to question and discover the answer to, “What can I do to make the world a better place?”. Your child will become a citizen of the world and contribute to a brighter future. Your child will be encouraged to help others; and learn about giving back to society through volunteering, fundraising projects, visiting old age homes and hospitals, and participating in charities.
As much as it’s all about learning through play, we also want our kids to know when it’s time to sit quietly, listen respectfully to others, and learn together in groups. Little Assembly includes session from our Xiao Zuo Zhe, Little Journalist and Little Mathematician groups, where our children gather to listen to stories and songs, to perform to the class, present their Little Programme projects, and practise their public speaking.
